Jomsom trek is a famous pilgrimage trek in the Annapurna Region. An explorer can travel around various settings and observe culture and the lifestyle of rural people in Nepal. You will see the renowned temple of Lord Muktinath lying in the district of Mustang and is located about 18km northeast of Jomsom (3,802m.). It is temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and you will also see 108 water taps pouring sacred water. And, visiting Jwala Mai temple nearby contains a spring and an eternal flame fed by natural gas.
On your arrival, our representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) but make sure about our representative with a display board at the arrival gate. You will be then transferred to the hotel. We can either relax in the afternoon or hang around. You will have a dinner where we take pleasure in a Nepalese cultural program as well as food. Overnight at hotel.
Today you go around Kathmandu valley and see Durbar Squares at Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan. Visit to Boudhanath will be unforgettable experience since it is one of the biggest stupas in Nepal. And, Swayambhunath located top on the mount in the city known as the Monkey Temple will also captivate you. Also, you will visit Pashupatinath, at the bank of Bagmati River which is one of the Hindus sacred places. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, we leave Kathmandu and drive to Pokhara by tourist bus, or car depending upon the number in your group. You will be walking through exciting panorama of river and landscape. On the other hand, you might take a flight to Pokhara from Kathmandu which takes half an hour. Then, you will get into the hotel and you relax in the afternoon on your own. You can visit around lakeside region or you can go for boating at Fewa Lake. Overnight at Lodge.
Today, driving for around 01 : 30 hour, you will reach Nayapool. Then, the trek starts by climbing through the striking rice, millet and maze farms of local people. The path takes us to Sudami and then we gradually walk by the side of valley and reach at Hile. Eventually, after half an hour walk we will reach at Tikhedhunga for overnight stay or we can further climb 3000 stone steps to reach Ulleri from Tikhedhunga.
Today, we will walk from Ulleri to reach Ghorepani, one of the famous spot of Annapurna region situated at an altitude of 2856 meters. Our hike simply moves up to Banthanti (2250 m.) going across oak and rhododendron forest. We keep on trekking until we reach to our ultimate destination Ghorepani through Nangethanti (2460m.). Later we will be staying overnight in a hotel after trekking for around 5 hours.
Early in the morning we march to Poonhill (3195m.) where you will view the striking mountains and beautiful sunrise. After an hour, we descend from Poonhill and continuously walk to Tadapani taking around 6 hours. Tadapani exactly refers to ‘Far water’ which means water is provided in this village from far away. The track rise all along ridges and through rhododendron, pine woods to Deurali. We descend arrive at Banthanti, walk further on the twisting way to Tadapani and stay overnight.
Trek from Ghasa (2010m.) from Tadapani takes about 2 and half hours. The path keeps on ascending and come across Lete at 2470m, in a while before reaching Kalopani, where you get hold of wonderful views of the Nilgiri peaks, Dhaulagiri I, Annapurna I and Tukuche Peak.
After having breakfast at Ghasa we move to Tukuche. Now, the path is very striking with forests and fantastic views of the peaks. From the peak of an edge, we move down to a river before making our way up once more all the way through the forest. After crossing Kaiku, we go down to a valley and move quickly across a big landslide before going across the Lete Khola. We go on to follow the broad valley of the Kali Gandaki, passing all the way through Khobang and Tukuche. Overnight stay at Lodge in Tukuche.
Tukuche is a pleasant village where contracted alleys and houses constructed around encircled quad provide some protection from the strong winds. After coming across stoned orchards, a stone gateway marks the entry to Marpha. Here, the local apple brandy is famous. As the track continues to Jomsom. The stiff winds start on to speed up on our way to Jomsom in the afternoon. Overnight stay at Lodge in Jomsom.
Taking about twenty minutes, we fly from Jomsom to Pokhara. The major fascinations of Pokhara are natural as well as cultural sites such as lakes, temples of Hindus and Buddhist, caves, mountain views. You can view the north region across the hill, Phewa lake to the snow peaks of the Annapurna, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri ranges. Overnight at Lodge in Pokhara.
We set off from Pokhara and travel for 6 hours to return back to Kathmandu. We can either take a vehicle for a drive or fly back from the beautiful city Pokhara. On arrival at Kathmandu you will be shifted to the hotel. You can then relax for rest of the day and stay overnight at hotel.
This is your final day, our airport representative will drop you to the airport and you will depart from Nepal.
