Your first day in Nepal with Nepal Mountain Club. One of our company representatives will receive you at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), who will further drive you to your hotel. Today, we also arrange a welcome dinner, where you can enjoy the delicious Nepali meal. Overnight at Hotel.
The capital, Kathmandu valley itself, is a big storehouse of exclusive natural, cultural and historical sites. Therefore, today, we take you on a few hour tours to the major attractions of Kathmandu valley. After spending few hours observing these wonderful sites, we again meet for a few hours to finalize your clothing and trekking gears (down jacket, trekking boots, sleeping bags etc.) required during the trek. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Today, in the morning our guides will come to pick you up at your hotel and escort you to the bus station to catch an early morning, comfortable tourist bus to Pokhara. The bus will head towards the west of Kathmandu Valley and continue the journey towards the western part of Nepal following the Prithvi Highway along the Trishuli river. The bus will stop twice – one for breakfast and one for lunch and then continue until we reach Pokhara. The evening can be utilized to explore the lake area. Overnight at a tourist standard hotel in Pokhara.
Today is the first day of the trek and our destination is Tikhedhunga. First we drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. After a short pre-trek preparation the ultimate walk starts following the south bank of the Modi River towards Birethanti. In Birethanti, we complete the check in formalities at the ACAP office, then the trail leads us towards Bhurungdi Khola, pass Lamdawali, Sudame and Hile, a few waterfalls and finally all the way up to Tikhedhunga after about two hours walk. Overnight at a lodge in Tikhedhunga.
A long uphill climb through more than 3000 stone steps will finally take us to Ulleri. A gentle ascent from here through the Rhododendron and Oak forest, passing Banthanti and Nangge Thanti will finally take us to the destination of the day, Ghorepani. Ghorepani is a gateway to Poon Hill, which is the best sunrise view point in the Annapurna region. Overnight at a lodge in Ghorepani.
Today we wake up earlier than usual to catch the first ray of the sun striking the mountains. For this, we hike up to Poon Hill (3,193m), enjoy the view of sunrise, spend some time taking snaps and get back to the lodge at Ghorepani. From here, the trail heads east, passing Deurali pass and Ban Thanti towards Thulo Odar Kharka through rhododendron forests. From here, a steep descent and a short climb will finally take us to Tadapani. Overnight at a lodge in Tadapani.
From Tadapani a steep descent through the rhododendron forest will lead us towards the suspension bridge passing perfect terraced fields and a few waterfalls. We cross the suspension bridge over Kimrong River, walk a few miles up and downhill passing Taulung to reach Chhomrong, which is a beautiful Gurung village situated on the lap of the giant Annapurna massif. Leaving this beautiful village we descend following the stone steps trail, cross the bridge across Chhomrong River and finally climb up to Sinuwa. Overnight at a lodge in Sinuwa.
We start with an easy walk from Sinuwa that continues till Bamboo passing Kuldhigar. Then a long steep stone staircase will talk us to Dobhan crossing a suspension bridge. The trail is accompanied by Bamboo, Rhododendron and Oak forest. Then a steep climb continues through the valley towards Himalaya and Hinku cave and finally we reach Deurali. Overnight at a lodge in Deurali.
We finally reach the destination our of Annapurna Base Camp Trek. A gentle climb will be done through the trail along the Modi Khola will first take us to Bagar. From Bagar a strenuous hike will first take us to the base camp of Machhapuchhre (3,700m). After resting here for about an hour taking snaps and enjoying the view of Machhapuchhre along with other snow capped peaks towering above 7000 and 8000 meter. We then finally reach our destination, the South Annapurna Base Camp that greets us with 360 degree vista of snow covered peaks. Overnight at a lodge in our destination, Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
After enjoying the mighty Annapurna Sanctuary (Annapurna Base Camp), we retrace the same trail that drops down to Bagar, Deurali, Dobhan and finally to Bamboo passing temples, cave, waterfall and finally across the bridge through the same rhododendron, oak and bamboo forest. Overnight a lodge in Bamboo.
We first walk up to Kuldighar and then retrace down to Chhomrong passing Sinuwa. From Chhomrong a vertical downhill walk will finally take us to Jhinu Danda. About 15-20 mins downhill walk from Jhinu Danda will take us to a hot spring bathing pool where we relax our tired muscles. Overnight at a lodge in Jhinu Danda.
From Landruk enjoy the view of whitewashed stone houses and temple, walking on the stone staircase to the bottom of the hill at Bhaisekharka. Then a vertical climb through the forest will take us to Pitam Deurali from where you can enjoy the farewell view of Annapurna South and Hiun Chuli. From here, following the stone paved trail, we will walk down to Pothana. Overnight at a lodge in Pothana.
We start from Pothana and then an easy walk will take us to Dhampus village. From Dhmpus village, the trail drops down to Phedi passing a small lake. From Phedi we drive to Pokhara. The evening can be spent either with the crew member or exploring the city. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
Second last day of our Annapurna Base Camp Trek, than from Pokhara we catch a tourist standard bus to Kathmandu. Leaving Pokhara we head east toward the capital city, Kathmandu. After 7 hours of drive all the way through Prithvi Highway, we reach Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel.
This is last day of your tour. One of our company representatives depart you to the International Airport as per your flight departure schedule time for your onward journey.
